Have You Ever Heard Of Friday?

Did the name "Friday" catch you off guard a little? For me, I was surprised to find out about the fiction North American character; Friday; from the novel Robinson Crueso, which was written by Daniel Defoe's in 1719. The reason why this character was named Friday was because Robinson Crueso met him on a Friday. Actually, in the book, Friday is an expression "Man Friday", which defines as a man's loyal personal assistant.

The setting takes place in Venezuela on an island where Robinson Crueso lived for twenty-eight years, along with his talking parrot, pet dog and goat. Cruseo discovers Carib cannibals uses a deserted beach to murder and eat their captives. Crueso sees one of the Caribs that were about to be eaten escape. Crueso attacks the men and the rest of the men leave in their canoe. In gratitude, the escape Carib shows loyalty thereof, and Crueso names him Friday, teaches him the English language and turns him into a Christian.

I decided to write a short description of this novel because it reminds me of Friday Cellphone Man. Of course not, he isn't a Carib, but he is loyal. Not only is he loyal to his country, but he is 100% loyal to his fans. And that's what really separates him from the rest of Liberian artists. Like he always says, "I will die for my country".

You see, Friday Cellphone Man is a country man. I'm stating this in the most respectful way, because there is nothing more attractive and that makes a person want to get to know someone than when that person is themselves. no copycat. You will hear it through his music, see it through his personality and feel it through his smile.

Are you are fan of parables? If you are than you are in for hell of a good knowledge, because you are bound to learn some life lessons listening to Friday Cellphone Man. Don't get me wrong, he is an entertainer. I mean, the guy sings, dance, does magic, and jumps through the ring. His performance is simply electrifying.
